Hi All, I see that I have alot of catching up to do(zoto,etc)....I haven't posted for awhile as I have been traveling.(had the opportunity to play in an over 60 National USTA League Doubles Tennis Tournament in Southern California which somehow us old ladies from Florida won!!!)Of course I couldn't just play tennis....lolol .... so I packed my trustyFZ5 and after tennis went off tovisit Joshua Tree National Park among other places. What a wonderful place to visit!!!! The park is filled with Joshua Trees and spectactular rock formations. Joshua trees are really giant yucca plants(can grow over 40 feet)that are a member of the lilly family. It has a soft fibrous core and stiff green blades. The trees were named by Mormon pioneers as they crossed the desert in the mid 1800's. I was taken by their shapes and I wanted to share them with you all.....The first picture isof one along the side of the road through the park.....bentleysmom

the way they're spaced apart looks almost like someone planted them that way... or thinned them out! neat pic!

Great pictures as usual. Glad you enjoyed your trip to California although you missed the best part, Northern California.
