The second is quite unusual. Never seen anything like it before.

The first one is a beautiful flower but the background detracts from it. You needed a big piece of black cardboard you could slip behind it. The second is a very interesting flower with good detail.

I really love # 2, very beautiful flower. I agree with tcook, a dark background would greatly improve this shot but the flower is nice anyhow.
