Hi All, I went to the air show this weekend. It was at the beach over the ocean. It was a great show and very fun to watch as I'd never been to an airshow before.....The one thing that I wish I'd been able to see was the landings and take offs. I did manage to get some decent pictures......but the jets were really hard to photograph as they were going so fast and the only place to take pictures unless you are a VIPwas on the beach. These were cropped and some PP with picasa.

This last one they were flying away...... more pictures are slowly being added at smugmug........http://bentleysmom.smugmug.com Enjoy! PS. This was a great lesson in learning how to use my camera. It was especially hard as the lighting conditions weren't the best....

Great job! You got some real super pictures, especially for the first attempt at fast aircraft ! Thanks for sharing! Jim

very nicely done! fast-movers like that are often hard to catch, but you've done it well. i used to shoot air shows a lot back in the 80's with my old Pentax ME Super and a motor winder, and i'd go thru half a roll of film in a single pass! those shows got spendy in a hurry, till i learned to "ration" my shots! :G but i got some very similar to these. maybe next summer i'll take my FZ20 to an air show and see what i can do with it. there's a naval air station about 90miles away that has a show every summer, and you're actually ON the base, so the jets are right overhead. makes for a very nice view...

Very nice to browse thru these. And good job too. I know the feeling when you have the kind of subject, great opportunity....not so good light. But top notch anyway, well done. Best regards,
