I just got a Lumix DMC-FX9. I upgraded from the DMC-LC33. Therefore, I have a few thousand picures titled P100001, P100002, etc. So this new camera is starting at P1000001 also. I already have these names on my pictures. Can I set the starting picture number to begin with P105001? Anyone got any advice? Thanks.

Go to http://www.ishots.net/fz1-2faq/fz1upgrade.htm Start at number 10. As indicated, this is for the fz1 upgrade which resets the fz1 files to number 1. The preceedure for resetting the file name to any number at the above link should work in your case as well.

Great. Thanks!

I had to modify the process a little (I creadtes the 100_PANA, 101_PANA, 102_PANA... all the way to 105_PANA. In each folder (100-104) I placed the files P1000999, P1010999... in the correct folders and left 105_PANA empty. Took a picture and whammo! I had P1050001.

Thanks so much for the link. Youve helped me tremendously.

Thanks again,
LS
