I considered this for a calendar. To get the rose right, the print out is too dark on the left,and the overexposed leaf leaf at the bottom is distracting.

Heck Fred you are a harsh self critic but I agree with you could address those issues in PP but heck I am no PP guru' , but the Cloneing tool in PS can fix things.

I think you got the Lighting / SUbject matter / composition / right / but from my experiences controling the background and or distractions in not always easy and the background can make or break a great image.
