I took some pictures I feel representative of Mexico, its places and its culture, and now I want to sell them to be used as postcards or posters. Does any body has done that? How much can I ask for a picture? I understand prices may be different in some countries, but any feedback is appreciated.

Here are some samples, all with FZ-15 and FZ-30. Your comments are welcome. :!:

Msantos, The pictures look great! Maybe you should try taking some of the pictures to stores that sell art, posters and postcards and see what kind of interest you can generate. If they are not interested in buying your work and selling it maybe they would sell it on consignment for you!? Just a thought! Jim

Nice Photos Msantos. definately poster or postcard material
Try to contact orginizations that promote Mexico for tourism eg. goverment and or travel agencies.
Or printers.

Jim, John, thanks for your suggestions, I'll try that. However, I have no idea how much can I get for the pictures if selling them, not consignment.

Any way, if I can not sell them, I'll contact a printer and give them to consignment. I'll post my results.

Thanks again!!

Marco

Marco its a good idea to watermark your images and also not hand over High Res images on disc to anyone until you have a legal agreement.
The intellectual property (yours) needs protection so tread carefully
Some images (not mine) have fetched large sums ;-)
