For anyone that read my rantings about my FZ30 a while ago, and my not so nicewords about Panasonic USA.

I owe them and you an apology, they were listening and were willing to replace my camera ...it arrived today and seems to work at least as well as expected.

For the people that were on my side thanks and I understand why perhaps not everyone agreed with me.

I just want to thank Panasonic for coming thru with a camera ...at the very least you made a satisfied customer.

Thanks for helping me.

Gene

Hi Gene,
Panasonic should give you even a second camera, you help them (and us) so much!

Gene

Good news on the new camera from Pana - at least we now know that even they recognise a defect when its pointed out to them. Kudos to Panasonic for coming thro.

Gene, Out of curiosity, did they fix your defective camera or replace it with a new one? JIm

They replaced it...they were willing to repair it from the start but I was not willing to accept that as the camera worked just fine but I was afraid the problem would grow into something much worse. I may have been wrong over that, but Once we could discuss it, they were very easy to work with.

And as I said I am grateful.

Wow! Home run for Panasonic. See T H A T 'S the kind of good will that brings customers back over and over. Not only are their products first rate, they do it right on the satisfaction end too. People who aren't shy to speak up and voice their opinions, and strive to solve these issues, like you Gene...keep getting dividends for all the players. Job well done.
