Not much time to get out and about today so went local to Epping Forest where theres a statue of Winston Churchill.

All shots taken in manual mode, tripod but one hand held, spot focus, OIS off, ISO 50, sharpness, contrast and saturation set to low in cam. Minor USM 60%, levels and contrast adjustement (+8 ) in photoshop. Just resized for the forum.

1. Churchill - Hand held at 1/20s F2.8

Cheers John!

Not sure what happened to his cigar must have been stolen or smoked by the local lads!

This was my second attempt at shooting his statue, the first was a few months after I got the FZ10 and they were well bloody awful. I'd been itching ever since to go and re shoot it and today just managed to get a chance to do it.

Well you did well HArj ... Churchill was quite an incredible person and strategist ... he had a basement room under the house's of parliament .... where he would ponder over what to do .... he smoked the best Havana Cigars ... but he suffered from bad depression at times.
