May not be as appealing as Tchuanye's pics, but still I want to post my efforts in catching two varieties of dragonfly today. FZ3, no addl lens. 4 pics.

3 This is a thinner variety, with fluorescent eyes, sits with its wings folded.

VERY nice shots Raghu! They could be peaked up in Photoshop to be outstanding! I found #3 interesting, I don't think I'd ever seen one with their wings folded back on the body! Jim

Raghu, I hope you don't mind, I touched up one of your images in Photoshop to see how it looked. Jim

Beautiful dragons and I'm amazed that you got them without an add on lens. I don't think my FZ1v2 will adjust so close without some sort of closeup lens on the camera.

Agreed. I love those shots, but they are a little pale, needed to have some contrast and color saturation added.

Thanks for your comments. I think it is time I get photoshop. The 'paleness' could be due to the overcast skyproviding limited, dull natural light. I too felt the need fora brighter outdoors - these creatures would have come out well with better contrast.
