Both have the same size (olympus and schneider WA). Impossible to use flash light. You can see the size on the photograph on a previous post. Anyway, I hate using a flash.

The wa converter will cast a shadow with the fz5 onboard flash, which is right behind it. A slave flash with an L-bracket to get it up and away from the camera will not cast a shadow.

Hmmm, if the slave flash needs the light from the built-in flash to be triggered, you'll still have the shadow of the upper part of the WA front lens... Is there a way to eliminate the light coming from the FZ5 towards the subject ?

Good point. It may be enough to set the flash intensity to -2 (pg 42). Otherwise, place something in front of the ob flash.Hand, paper.Make a diffuser out of something like an aspirin container and place it over the flash.
