Got my 3T and step ring today

3T + 4T no vignetting FZ30 seems very tolerant because of the small front element size

3T + 4T and 3EZ mode at max 19.1 zoom is pretty hot you will need good light else a tripod.

Looks to me any 52mm filter will be fine with a step down ring.

The FZ30 55mm front thread size is great it can accept 55mm addons direct .

Yes Jim 3T + 4T roughly 6inches is working distance with the 2 combined
Image size with any closeup is governed by zoom ratio so 3MP EZ 19.1 times and 3T + 4T is HOT

5EZ 5MP I think is best the detail of surfaces is better than 3EZ 3MP mode

Also one point is with high diopter and max zoom say in 3EZ or 5 EZ mode camera shake is very evident it tends to need a tripod or a VERY steady hand so when I hand hold I can see shake and when I bracket each of the 3 frames vary's in cropping.

Its a learning thing.... this is only a problem when you are maxing out the image magnification.

But Closeup lenses are good no two ways about it.

Thanks for the info John! I've got the 6T and the Raynox 250 and I like the 6T better because I can focus at about 12" where as the 250 requires as close as 4" to 6" to focus. So with your two lens connected your having to get as close as I do with the 250. Jim

Ah seems you well set up there Jim the Raynox is pretty hot from what I have heard it is also unique in that it can snap on with no adaptor.

I am happy with the 3T and 4T they are ideal for me.
