This is a regular visitor at my office desk. I used to admire his pitch dark complexion. Tried to place him on a piece of paper, but found it very difficult to make him stay. Shot under indoor lighting, no flash.

very good shot! the contrast between the spider and the white background makes it even more dramatic!

Glad you all liked this photo, and thanks for your comments. John - I presume he is not dangerous. I see him everyday wandering over my desk, over the computer monitor, printer, etc. When I tried to corner him on a piece of paper, he jumped on to my palm a few times and quickly retreated, without any hint of attacking. I noticed six eyes (the other two being just above the two smaller eyes visible in this picture). The size - two such spiders could easily fit into your thumbnail.

Actually, he has got 8 eyes (like most spiders).
And he is not dangerous. He is just too small to bite through a man's skin (and if he could, his poison would be to weak to cause any harm).
