cold and clear again today... gorgeous blue sky, but it never got above about 35 degrees F. i went down to the lake to catch the sunset, and managed these shots...

some old pilings poking up through the ice...

sunset over the lake. the ice extends about 75 yards from shore. it's not thick, but for it to be there at all is fairly unusual...

this is kind of a neat one. i like the soft, dreamlike - yet still verycold -look it has...

this one was one of those shots you take just fer the heckuvit, but ikinda like the wayit came out...

Really nice pictures Squirl but can only download 1 and 2. The other 3 just have a small white box with a red cross

I like the third and fourth image. The fourth looks like it was over-sharpened a bit though.

Bootneck, I occasionally have trouble viewing images. Sometimes I can reload the page and it'll work. Other times, I have to right click on the little box that you're seeing and select "view image". Sometimes that makes it come up, though in a separate window.

#3 looks surreal to me, I like it.. The grass shows white on my screen. Is that the right color? All are nice photos. - Don

it was almost white... pale, dead tan with a layer of frost... the softening was intentional, it didn't come out of the camera that way! i liked that surreal effect, so i kept it... :G
