When I take a picture with a lot of zoom, I sometimes notice that the image is a little darker in the corners. Is this normal?

Do you have a lens hood attached ? Fmoore's your man to help you out with this as he's had the FZ5 for a wee while now.

Maybe I'm imagining things here, but the image appears darker at the edges and in the corners. Even more so after applying levels adjustment with Photoshop. I did not use the lens hood for this shot.

Gray sky can be little rough around the edges but I don't think there is anything exceptional going on here. A tad dark on the right but nothing out of the ordinary, IMO.

I do not know the tech answer ...but I have seen this on all the FZ cameras and only at times.
