Thanks Ted! Yes I was using the 12x zoom on the FZ30, also tried the 19x zoom in the 3mp mode for a few of the bird shots. As to the question on the TCs I've never tried one but I think I've seen some posts here where someone had tried a Tc using the 5 and 3mp modes. If I can find the post I'll let you know. Jim

You know Don for a while I thought they were circling me, (there were about 12 of them), I then checked and found I had a pulse so I figured they were looking at something else !:-) Jim
