This was as close as I could get to this dragonfly.

Same fellow, another pose. I am sure you would have got tired of (my) dragons, so I am going to stop with this.

thanks for sharing raghu,

sometimes dragonflies "sleep" - you found the right moment.
Please go on, I like your improvements.
Merry Christmas to you and your family!

Thank you friends. Pappy, nice to see you back!

If my photos are liked today, it is only because of the encouragement and appropriate critiques received from members of this Forum that helped me to slowly improve step by step and correct mistakes. That way,Iam surethis Forum is a great place to learn.

I miss Nooner who used to point out the obvious flaws in my initial pictures (being a beginner, I was not even aware of those mistakes and also used to post almost every snap that I took whether they were good or not). His (and others') constructive criticism and Seth's (I miss him also) comments, advice and guidance directed me to analyse my photos before posting and also introduced me to the basic principles of photograhy and use of PP.

Sorry I am taking your time, but in the last one year after joining this Forum, I have gained a lot and I think I owe it to all those who helped me,at least as an acknowedgement of their help to me, to share my progress here. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart, and wish you all a very happy New Year!

Raghu, I don't think anyone here will ever get tired of seeing your Dragonflies! I'm just happy you share them with us. I tried for two hours today to get a decent shot of one but was unable to catch them "sleeping"! Happy New Year ! Jim
