Hi all !

Just wanted to let you all know of the dgrin photo challenge - something to push us a wee bit photography wise. A friend at work pointed the site out to me that this smugmug based site had a monthly competition. Registration is free and you don't need a smugmug account.

This months topic for the photo challenge is "New":

"It will run from Monday, December 25th at 12:00:01 a.m. NYC time, through Monday, January 9th at Noon NYC time."

Here's the link http://www.dgrin.com/forumdisplay.php?f=7

There's also a Photo of the year competition too !

Cheers

Hi Jim

Just happy to share the info - I haven't checked all of the previous challenges but I did look at no 53 which was called "reflextions" and heres the selected 10 out 60 entries

http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=24066

check out the winner "heat":

http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=24221

It didn't click how a kettle could be the winner until I actually saw the reflextion of the lovers kissing on the kettle - now that was cool !

I know we definetely have a of lot talented guys and gals here on the forum to produce some real winners and show everyone what the FZ's can do.

Cheers

HarjTT

:? :O

Going crazy currently trying to work out how to take a pic of "new"

Thanks, HarjTT. I bookmarked it. I just browsed through the previous challenge winners and there are some incredible shots. Definitely inspiring to move up a notch.

I noticed you entered one in the current "Peace" challenge that's up for vote. Let's drum up some support. It's a great shot, HarjTT, but competition is tough.

Rainer

I registered on the last day of competition 54 and decided to just see how I could do. I'm more than happy to have got into the final selection. Personally, I really like "Eternal peace" but then again I'm partial to Chinese/Japanese gardens, landscapes etc.
"Standing Down" is a cracking shot as well and it took me a wee while to understand how it related to peace.

Cheers
