Early morning hike on Camelback Mtn gave me a great view of the Phoenician Resort, one of the premier resorts in Phoenix. This first picture is where the trail starts at the north side of the resorts golf course, at sun rise. Jim

#2 About a quarter of the way up the mountain the Phoenician becomes visible.

#3 This resort covers a hugh area on the east end of the mountain. This shows a small portion of the golf course.

#6 This is a zoomed in view of a statue, the surrounding tile or cement creates sort of an optical illusion!

I really like #3 and #1 - #3 has such interesting shadows against the pretty green course, and I really like the color in #1. It looks like a wonderful place to go hiking.

Very nice shots although all but the penultimate one seems a little too saturated in colors (but some might like that and anyhow only greens are slightly too crisp)

Thanks Mtngal, Yes this mountain is a popular hiking / climbing area because it's located within the Phoenix city limits. Jim

Thanks Narmer, It may be due to the early morning sun making the colors a little warmer and more saturated. I noticed that shots taken later in the day were not as saturated. Jim
