These are the other bugs I manage to take.

FZ10+6T+Sigma CU, ext bounce flash, ISO50, F8 various speeds

#1: Hover fly
1/200s
Finally manage to take this close up of the hover fly. Really fascinated by the eyes...only managed afew shots of it, of which this is the best.

#2:Skipper?
1/800s
Brings back memorie, cos it was almost exactly a year ago that I took a pic of this butterfly. Than, I thought that it was a moth!
High shutter speed as it was in the sun, and had to prevent the whites from over blown

#3:Shield Bug: Green theme
1/50s
This shield bug was in the shade, hence a slow shutter speed. I like the greenish theme.

#4: What are you looking at!
1/160s

#5: Grasshopper wider view
1/250s

#6: Grasshopper close up
1/400s

Almost speechless at the beauty of those shots! Just wonderful.
Here, on the other side of the causeway, I hope to try some shots like that soon. We have similiar wildlife at least.

I've been a member for about a year, and between busy, shy, or what ever I have just never posted (but I do look alot). I've seen yourgreat bug shots before, but have to say these are amazing, andI just had tostop to tell you so. You have a great eye and know your camera very well. The butterfly one is my favorite. And not to toot your horn to much, but as a person who likes to just play with her camera, I appreciate your settings info, it helps me learn, thanks. Shannon

Thanks Jose!

Shannon, thanks for taking the time to comment!
I do tend to post the settings as previously, pp kept asking for them, so now it becomes a habit. I guess sharing such info helps all to learn and understand the capabilities of the camera.
