Hi,

While I spent a lot of time taking underwater photos I also managed to take some above water. Comments appreciated.

While I was on the Big Island I went down to the volcanoes and did a very hot walk to the lava field. After returning I found out that the area was actually closed due to a massive land collapse that happened a week earlier.

The summit of Mauna Kea (4300m) at sunset. Believe it or not a few minutes after taking this photo a blizzard hit and it started to snow!

Great series of photos. I love #4 with the rainbow.

That was one cooperative gecko - how did you get him to look at the camera and smile?

excellent series. that shot of the lava flow, especially, is very good indeed! i can imagine it was pretty toasty that close to molten rock! :O
