what is necessary (if anything), to adapt this Teleconverter to the Panasonic FZ30?...after receipt of my FZ30 on 1/9/06, i may want to add this and the Wide Angle Teleconverters and was curious, i can't seem to find what the diameter of the TCON units is/are, even on the Olympus website...maybe i'm just missing something...

The TCON17 fits directly onto the FZ30 as it is 55mm, as for the wide angle I am not sure.

Wait ...Wait

You do not want the tcon17F as it is a bayonet mount and will not fit the FZ30.

You just want a Tcon17 ...this one it is 55mm and will thread right on the FZ30

And most likely the RAynox hd6600pro-55 is the WA lens but its hard to get now you can get it here I believe. You will need to email him

I am sure I saw some great photos with this WA on a FZ30 but can not get the poster to reply to me to find out more.

thank you both for your answers and additional input...i feel like such a Rookie now...i have to laugh at myself...the reason i say this is one of my other interests is building pc's (more specifically, niche' type specialized gaming or multimedia rigs) and can practically recite specs off the top of my head...so i switch to my other long time interest (Photography) that i haven't been so active in for a good many years and i'm the new kid on the block, and need to be helped...glad you guys were there to set me straight

thanks for pointing out my errors, lol...
