took these at a local park. there's a huge marsh there, and the water level was way up from all the rain we've had...

a couple of cattails...

i liked the reflection in this one - and the thoroughly bedraggled look of the grass growing from the stump...

Squirl - These are almost the greatest photos that you've ever posted or taken. So much so, there's nothing else to comment on... (are these 'stealth' photos of stealth cattails...?)

Ooops, I must have not waited long enough for it to down load...

Actually nice photo with the reflections!

fortunately, i live on a hill... a lot of folks in the more rural areas aren't so lucky. this shot isn't much for subject matter, but i took it for the somber, dreary mood it evokes. this was at 12:30 this afternoon...

Hey there Squirl. We fell one day short of tying the record for consecutive days of rain, but not to worry, we've started a new streak today! :? cheers.........thekman.

I love the first two, and the third one is very effective - just thinking about having to look at a sky like that for days on end is depressing - I can imagine it must be much worse having to live in it (says I looking out on another day of bright blue skies).

Very pretty shots and I especially like the second one. I think I'd have it hanging on a wall somewhere .
