Hi I'm new to digital but have decided to plunge in with panasonics.
Does anyone have an opinion or suggestion regarding batteries. The Panasonic units are expensive but I don't want to buy a less expensive one to find it's no good.
Thanks

I totally agree with lovelife on this , while you can get a bad battery from anyone the battery barn has a no hassle exchange policy they send you another, along with a PP envelope to return the bad one.

I do not feel the battery is any better than others but the service has won me over.

i have one Panasonic battery that came with my FZ20, and 3 non-OEM batteries i got on ebay. aside from the fact that the non-OEM ones are higher capacity andlast longer, i have not been able to tell any difference between them. my last purchase was for 2, 900-mAH batteries for $7.99 each. they work flawlessly, fit the factory charger, and outlast the OEM battery as well. don't waste your money buying the OEM battery... you're only paying for the name.

Agree on getting the cheaper batteries but couldn't find these. The highest I see on ebay is 680 mah. Where are the 900?

Thanks, Squirl. I see them now herefor $8 each plus $2.50 s/h and $1 s/h on a second battery. Two 900 mah for $19.50 delivered is what I would go for.
