Hey
went to the northen nationals today and it was a really good day. Lots of fast cars. Rail did a 6.25 and a nitro bike ran a 6.9. Few door slammers were making easy 7s and reece backed up his fastest with another 7.9 unfortunately breaking out.

All you guys from the U.S and Aus are probly laughing at these times but hey they are quick for NZ. But i think our GTR is approaching fastest 4wd pretty soon.

it's all relative. here in the states, nitro "funny cars" run in the high 4's and low 5's, and top fuel rails are into themid-to-upper 4's. speed record is over 330mph (530kph). but then, the guys that run those times have engines that produce over 5,000 HP, drink 1.5 gallons of nitromethane fuel per second at full throttle, and use more power than a stock Dodge Hemi produces just to run the blower. it takes a lot of cash to fund that kind of "sport", and it's not surprising, given Americans' fascination with trying to see who can go the fastest in the shortest period of time, that we put more money and effort into it than pretty much anyone else on the planet... seems such a waste, though... all the fun is over before you can even turn on an FZ20! :O

Nice shots Ken! I see the 'vibrations' didn't bother the pictures or the camera! Jim

Neat shots! Who cares how fast they are going as long as the photos turn out this well.
