My very favorite "water" bird and these pictures are beauties. It's amazing that the bird would let you get so close!

great shots. B'mom! i've gotten some close shots of Great Blues, including a couple where the bird was within 20 feet or less, but never captured one in the trees! very nicely done! those last two look like his neck oughta hurt big-time!! :G

Thanks everyone for the kind comments...It was amazing that I got those pictures....I was very still and he definitely kept an eye on me. Squirl, My neck hurt too after looking up and taking those pictures.:-) Thanks again for your time. bentleysmom
