Bob - I'm purely an acoustic guitar player -a Martin D-28 - but the video blurb was interesting. Taylor makes some excellent guitars. What is the attachment on the back of the guitar that looks like a hot shoe? Surely this guitar doesn't also take flash photos. :|
That is a battery compartment. The guitar has built in pre-amp, and eq. The 9 volt battery is good for about 40 hours of playing, and is only used when the guitar is plugged in to something.

I have allways played acoustic myself mostly, but this gives me a good acoustic sound, and many other options with one guitar.

And it plays like a dream...

Very interesting breakthrough in the guitar world. If now they could only make a compact 12x zoom camera with a full sized sensor and image stabilization, this world would be a better place. :-)

Send us a video clip of you playing your new toy. bobc.

Thank you very much. I may be getting an acoustic amp this week. I'll try to record something with the T5, and post a link to it for ya.

Bobc, when are you going to go on American Idol and show those young pups a thing or two?

"String" those judges along and then hit 'em with your best shot!

:-)

(Ya, shure...I would take your fZ20 for ya and take pics!)

Interesting guitar Bob. Is the grain on top running perpendicular to each other? Looks like it in the pic.

Yes. It does look that way. Is that a good thing?

I did a test recording of my T5 plugged into a Roland AC60 acoustic amp.

Let me know what you think of the accoustic sound.

Bob,

I think it sounds great. It sure sounded acoustic to me. That's a pretty versatile new "toy" you've got there. Enjoy!!

Yes, that sounds very natural. Definitely like a top-of-the-line acoustic guitar.

Sounds very natural thru the Roland. The chorus effect is nice. Does the amp have echo? I'd like to hear how it sounds as an electric distorted guitar. Have fun with it.
