Hi all,

This bird was hard to spot. It blends in quite well in tall grass. It can stretch its neck and body very high making look like tall grass even more. I had a fun outing today The weather was perfect for SE Texas. Got pics of herons, egrets, downy woodpeckers, and ducks. This was the most unusual sighting.

Enjoy,
Steven

Good shot but lettle overexposed and CA is very strong. At what zoom have you shoot it? any additiona tele lens? FZ30 or 20 or 5?
Sorry for asking to much but i found that at 12x the FZ20 creates a notisible CA (not so much as in your shot but I suppose the reason is in you overexposed shot)

No teleconverter. Sorry about the red frenging. I thought I had the FZ20 set at f5.6 in A-mode but it was in P-mode so it chose f2.8. Unfortunately, the bird looked injured. I don't think it was faking like kilder do.

Thanks,
Steven
