Heya, I posted these same images over at dpreview but thought I'd share them with you guy's too.

Both shot in RAW and then converted to JPG. Heavy PP done in ACR 3.2, Photoshop, and Neat Image. Anyway, enjoy!

100% crop
1/125 sec at f/7.1
Shutter priority
ISO 80
Spot focusing&metering
Custom white balance

Agreed with Tiger98

The second one only needs some NR (in the black area only). Great image.

On the other hand the first image is spolied by a very bad NR. Read the instructions and learn PP progs and plugins or you'll waste much time and ruin the pics

Narmer, yeah I just recently started using Neat Image. I'll go through all the tutorials and see if I can get the image looking better without too much quality loss.

Amazing shots.

Did you use any additional zoom lens, or was this just the standard FZ30 zoom??

Second might be better for documentary purposes but I like the touch of #1, it's just different...

Aight guys, here's the same moon shot but fixed the noise. I simply made a selection around the moon in PS and then inverted it. Then I took out as much noise as possible in the sky while still perserving the details on the moon.
