The FZ30 is not as noisy as my FZ10, apparently...

And good pic.

Can you post a 100% crop to have a better idea of the noise? Thanks.

Wow! The colors and cloud textures in this photo are awesome! I'm not seeing too much noise. I don't know if that's because of the small size of the post. I'm sure Neat Image or Noise Ninja or some such program will be helpful. This shot definitely is a keeper!

Keith, that is a gorgeous photo. Did you by chance do any sharpening of original?

I don't really see excessive noise at this size

Very colorful sunrise Keith. The noise doesn't appear that bad ! But if you think it does the programs others have mentioned above will take care opf the problem. Jim

That s gorgeous...If I knew what this noise problem was that everyone seems to be fixated on, maybe I would comment but all I see is a keeper photo...Fred

This is full size image, only sized down too 800X600 with a little USM.. The terrible noise is in the blue channell,, the upper portion of the sky and it is terrible. It almost looks like it has been sandblasted. I have tried Neat Image, and Helicon and both remove so much detail from the lower portion it is terrible. I have yet too make a decent image with the FZ30 even at ISO 80 that is not full of noise. My old Oly C2100 will shoot circles around my new FZ30.. I am kind of surprised that other folks are not "seeing" this problem?????

Agree on the noise.Difficult shot. Please give the exif. Also, how about a direct comparison with thefz30 and the c2100demonstrating the better performance of the latter?

I downloaded that photo, which I think is beautiful and enlarged it 300% and I see no noise I did see artifacts at the enlarged size, but that was expected ...Post the original for us to see.
