Here are a few shots from a recent production of the wizard of oz. I shot these at 400 ASA, hand-held with mode 2stabilization at the best quality jpg format. Post processing included running them through Noiseware and asmall amount of Photoshop smart sharping.

All-in-all I'm really impressed with both the quality and % of usable shots!

More shots here...

Isn't it amazing what the FZ30 can do if people just us it, and quit talking about the noise.

Those are really nice and I got lost in the link you left.

At least for the use on the web the images have great quality.

I am sure they can be printed at large size, but FZ30's 8Mp are really a lot of resizing up to 800x600.

Thanks for sharing them.

PS did you use the Noiseware PS plugin or program; and did you filter the 8Mp images or the resized ones ?

Thanks for the kind words!

I use the stand alone version of Noiseware and filtered the images prior to resizing them. Oh I forgot to mention that I did not shoot them @ 8megapixel. I shot them @ about 5mp in 16x9 mode.

Very impressive high iso shots indeed - the first one is just crystal clear and I can hardly spot any noise in it all.

Thanks for posting

very nice shots indeed! at ISO 400,i'm impressed. very sharp, and exposure is spot on. can you post one of the originals, so we can see how much you had to clean up with NR?

Those are all outstanding shots, especially considering that you used ISO 400, and at 5mp ! Great job. Jim

Sorry for taking so long. Things have been rather busy. Not enough time for the fun stuff like this... Anyway here are the originals so you can see what they looked like before processing. I'll try to keep these online for a few days - given the file size I don't want to keep 'em online for too long!

<edit>
Huh, I guess that I can't post simple links here... I'll put 'em in separate posts in this thread.
