PS=Photoshop

AE4=Photoshop Elements 4

PS4=Photoshop Elements 4

PP=?

I am not familiar with all the different programs available. I have Photoshop Elements 4, which I just bought and am trying to learn. Hopefully, I will get to the point that I don't have to show my ignorance.

Is there a place that list the acronyms?

PP= Post Processing

And another one that's used pretty frequently.

NR = Noise Reduction

Thanks, sometimes when they use "PP" I am not sure whether it is a specific software program or some reference to a tool within a software. I do know what it always meant down here in the south. LOL

I learned a lot from googling for digital photgraphy glossary

butsuch glossariestend not to contain acronyms.

The trouble with acronyms is that they mean different things to different people so have to be used in context.

I understand PP to mean Post-Processing, meaning any changes (editing) you make to a picture once you have transferred it from your camera or scanner to your computer.

cheers,

Max

Some abbreviations that caused me trouble at first:

IQ = Image Quality (you can go on and on about your camera's IQ)
CA = Color Aberration
