Good shot. Here is one I made today.
FZ20, no close-up lens (I hope at the end of the week I will have DCR 250).

interesting perspective! looks like the end of a fir or spruce brandh?a good close-up lens is a great addition to your kit. i have the Nikon 6T, but by all accounts, the DCR 250 is pretty darn good as well. i think you'll enjoy the shots it lets you capture...

10x squirl. This is a small cristmas tree (maybe a 30 cm tall) and the shot is taken from top of it. I am woried for the DCR 250 because they are 8 diopters and I am new to macro (when I buy them I think that they are 2.5 diopters but ....).
The shot is PP (I redused the highligts using PhotoShop) and "neatimaged" it.

Here another one

one thing you will quickly learn about the DCR250 - it's a great lens, but it has a VERY shallow depth of field. it's perfect for photographing extremely small objects, especially flat ones, but the DOF is so small that it's tough to get the right focus on anything more than a few mm in size... the head of an insect, for example, will be clear, but the rest will often blur into the background. that's one reason i don't have a DCR250 - i don't need to get that close, and i want more DOf...
