Stock lens hood that comes in the box is 52mm.

Optional conversion lens adapter can be purchased with 55mm mount.

I just purchased an Fz7 and am awaiting delivery. While I'm waiting, I thought I would purchase a UV filter and a polarizer. Is 52mm what I need?

Thanks,

Steve

If you plan to use it on the stock adapter that will come in the box. Then yes.

Thanks for the reply Brett! Any reason to NOT use the stock adapter?

I'm using it now. I will only buy a new all metal one if I get some add on lens that would benefit from a stronger and shorter adapter. As of right now I don't think I will need to. I have a few lenses and they all work just fine.

Thanks Brett. That's what I was hoping you'd say

I'm looking forward to getting my new camera!

I should get my FZ7, stock adapter and Panasonic 55mm adapter by then end of this week. I also ordered Panasonic grey- and UV-filters with 55mm thread so I can give you first hand information about these if you can wait a bit... I will compare the quality of Panasonic filters against top of the line Hoya 55mm circular polarization filter. I would also like to order some B+W filter for fun so I could compare it with the Hoya, but I am not sure which one I should get because I allready have UV, Grey and Polarization filters...
