My TZ-1 arrived late this afternoon. By the time I had charged the battery it was dark so I tried this fully automatic Night Landscape Scene Mode photo from my room at the Hampton Inn as a test.

I was quite pleased with it. The exposure was spot on and it was nice and sharp.

The night scene looks very good. Go out and enjoy your camera.

Hello MT

Been looking, hemming and hawing over the TZ1. :?

Lot of optical zoom, compact, 35mm wide angle ~very good

No view finder or ability to take aux. lens~not very good

Can you tell me, does it take the same battery as my Kodak cameras? Charger shape looks similar.

I really doubt it if Panasonic and Kodak would use the same battery. The model number for the TZ1 battery is CGA-S007A/1B. Check out the specs and see if it is the same.

I just ordered a blue TZ1 for my parents as a Christmas gift.

Enjoy life,
Steven
