I am new to digital photo, i've always used my Canon AE-1 Program, I have a Linear polarizor with a 52mm thread so I think I can use this. My question is, what do you think about the idea of just constintly keeping it on, or will it through out indoor shots ect.. thanks dan. By the way now that I think of it, I also have several filters, color, starburst, softeners, multiple image...will these still give the quality effect that was recieved from the film camera?

52mm filters should work fine.

I would not keep it on all the time as can block 3 stops of light.

Most filters will do the same with digital as film except for IR and UV.

UV is only for protection and I am not sure but I doubt the FZ7 can do IR.
