Armadillo,

You're getting close. It looks to me like you need to just get a little faster shutter speed by opening your aperture a bit. Try around 4.5 or 5.3. If that shot was hand held it's very good. I use my tripod and the two second timer for my moon shots. I also am still working on the "perfect" one but I'm getting closer to what I want. This image shows what the FZ7 can do, I'm sorry but I don't remember if I was using one of my t-cons on this shot, but I don't think so. If I'm correct this is a 3mp EZ mode at full zoom. Don't forget to turn off OIS or set to mode 2.

F6.3 1/60 ISO 80 594mm equiv. No PP work just cropped.

-Brett

Brett, thanks for sharing your knowledge, you got much clear shoot than I did
I'm using tripod with F8, 1/50 secs, 610mm. also set to 3MP to get extra digital zoom and plus a bit of digital zoom. I think shd not use digital zoom.
will try again when full moon :|

Looks much better. Are you using manual focus?

If you used digital zoom in your first shot, you got your explanation right there why it did not come out that great. Digital zoom kills the image quality.

Hiroshi & rduve,
Thanks for viewing
I'm using auto focus. Using 16.5 optical zoom, 12x optical + some extra optical zoom, with lower resolution.
