Ok, so it isn't really a bird, but it is colorful ! While climbing a mountain this "bird" came by to take a look ! Jim

Must've been really fast! Is that a chinook or a plane or something in the far background (under the chopper)? It's quite far away.

That is indeed a very fine shot! Something that Airliners.net would accept.

Spiderdan, I believe the shutter was set at or about 1/500 sec. You are correct that is a a large aircraft approaching Sky Harbor airport. Jim

Thanks Newsyl ! The shot was taken in north Phoenix from on top of Squaw Peak. Was using the FZ-30 at full 12x zoom. Jim
