Hi

Is it just me or does the DMC-LZ5 take better macro shots than many other settings?

Just wondering what anyone thinks...

It seems a very good reproduction ratio: what are the specifications (both camera, distance, zoom, and img cropping ?

Forgive my ignorance; what's a reproduction ratio? The picture was taken with my Panasonic DMC-LZ5 with macro mode and no zoom. The original dimensions of the photo (before cropping) was 2048x1536 pixels. There was no colour correction or enhancement, bar the crop.

Joel, (if you didn't know already) I would suggest you try the macro mode in the camera if the option is availabe. It has a flower sign usually.
Macro mode focus abilities vary in different cameras.
Also, you could try mucking with autofocus modes is your camera permits.
