Hi,

Just been surfing the site and may I say it's quite good.

I am looking for a bit of advice, I have a FZ-7 camera. I am looking for a few lenses for it. I don't really know where to start to look for them and hoping you can help me . I am looking for 2x zoom, Wide angle and also a fisheye. If anyone can point me in the right direction that would be greatfull. I did find some on ebay, From this fella but unsure about them.

Hi,

Just have a look at the FZ1 FZ2 FAQ of Alexo in this forum: you will find many infos about accessories, still OK for the FZ7.

You are correct. The standard lens hood adapter comes in 52mm. It is plastic and fine for light weight lens add-on. You can also buy a all metal 52 or 55 as aftermarket for around $35 that should be much stronger.

I have the following;

Oly c180 1.7x tele, (good focus @ center, softer at corners and some slight CA)

Ricoh tc200m 1.5 tele, (fairly even focus a little soft but about the same edge to edge)

Raynox dcr 6600 WA, ( good focus, very wide but some vignette @ 1x with stock adapter.

I think the after market 52mm unit from pemarel would make all of them work even better.

Hi Paul,

If you have a look to Panasonic's website, you will see FZ7 accepts 52mm or 55mm lenses (55mm with DMW-LA2 adapter)

Hey, nice Panasonice makes tele and wide converters now!:-)

The first step is usually determining what lenses you wish to use. See my FZ-30 user guide for some very good lenses. Then, find out your budget limit and see if you can afford those best ones. If you cannot, going down one level will save you a lot. Once you have the lenses in mind, you must decide if the thread sizes are the same. If they are not, you need step rings. Anyway,you may need abetter adapter like this: http://www.pemaraal.com/fz7ac.html Panasonic's wide angle LW55 is good, but its telephoto TL55 is not so great although good.
