Taken at O'Rellys resort at Lamington National Park Queensland.

This wild King Parrot is one of many who delight tourists by consenting to be hand fed.

Yes, O'Reillys is a resort right in the middle of the Lamington National Park which I believe is the largest area of sub tropical rainforest in Oz. About 60-100km SW of Brisbane. The road is somewhat difficult being up the mountain, often single lanewith continuous hairpin bends. Probably 50 or so parrots surround us mugs standing there with arms outstretched full of wheat. Once you have a King Parrot on each hand and often one on your head, the trip dissolves into nothing...Fred
