Train vs 18 Wheel Truck Almost (Videos)

I was trying out my FZ30 & Nikon tele-converter at full zoom and I wanted to get some short videos & photos of our old steam engine. After taking a bunch I decided to get s short video of the train crossing the tracks on highway 17 North of Chama New Mexico. The train and a 18 wheel truck loaded with a bulldozer almost met at the crossing. Much to close for comfort.

Here are two videos of the excitement. More photos and videos later or tomorrow.

Nice video, roger. But, I didn't see the 18 wheeler. Was that what the engineer was blowing at at the end of the video? Like the train whistle.

The white and yellow blur was the 18 wheeler. If you turn on your sound you can hear the truck as he flys by. The engineer blew the whisle at the start of the video and then again after the truck went by. (The Long video)

I saw it that time, good grief, that truck driver must have been crazy, He was really moving along. It seems that he must have been intentionally trying to outrun the train. You are correct in that it is only a yellow flash across the screen just before the last whistle.

The driver of the truck is either crazy or was not payin attention. Way to close for comfort. One good thing is it did make a different kind of video.
