Steve

Good shots all round and my favorite is no 3 of the harbour. Looking at the pic I think teh view out of the sea would be pretty impressive indeed. Did you take a panoramic shot of that ??

Cheers

Thank you for your comments.

Harjjt, I did take pictures of the bay all the way around. With the position of the sun over the sea, there was to much glare to be able to use them(wish I could be there now to try again).

Macnite, the beach area is from 'Elafonisi' what a beautiful place.

We stayed in 'Maleme' and learnt alot about the recent history(2nd WW).

When I returned home I did some more research into it and found a docu/film has been made about it. The film is called 'THe 11th Day' The Battlle of Crete.(link below if your interested).

What an amazing story of what happened.

Only saw a small part of the Island, can't wait to see the rest.

Shot of 'Falassarna'

Hi Steve,

My home town is Maleme. You will not believe the pleasure you have given me looking at pictures of familiar places. I have seen the documentary (11th day) here in Montreal Canada.

Was the picture ofFalasarna taken on the month of May-June?

Have youhiked the Gorge of Samaria? 18 kilometers of wild beauty. The attached picture shows the entrance/dissent to the gorge.

Thank you again for sharing.
