Congrats to Bob Frank for todays Photo of the day, excellent macro, makes me wonder if I should get the Raynox too on top of the 6T?

Yes, what a great macro shot. I have the DCR-250, but have not really put it to work yet. Is Bob one of the forum members here?

Nice macro, indeed. I think it just sold me on the DCR-250 for my FZ30!

Just looked at your gallery Bob - some amazing macro shots. Between Tchuanye and you we are in for some future treats...Fred

Yes, they are fantastic, and so are Tchuanye's, but let's not leave Narmer and seemolf out of the magnificent macro quartet.

Thanks for these great pics Bob

and thanks Rduve for the "macro quartet". I would add at least one more component, Callmebali, to make it a quintet, like past Rolling Stones.

I have been often tempted by the DCR 250:

at full zoom it's twice the magnification of Nikon 6T+5T combo, but less than half of the 50/55mm reversed macro I use (but nearly zero DOF at high zoom with them).

However what I really lack is an external flash (+ bouncing paper) which really makes the difference about color and exposition.
I think I ll get one soon
