In november my camera just stopped working! My lens does not come out it turns on but no lens moves at all! It will say please remove shutter cap and push button... what could be wrong with it i had a friend look at it that works on camera's and he said he couldn't find anything that was wrong with it! has anyone that has thise camera had this problem! i really want it fixed i went and bought me a sony for the time being and i want my panasonic back!!!:?

This malfunction with the fz5 has been mentioned a few times. The extension mechanism has apparently jumped the track. Try gently pushing the lens housing into the camera in hopes that yoy can get it back on track. If unsuccessful, Panasonic repair sounds like the only recourse. Good luck and let us know how you make out.

For the record, I have had my fz5 well over a year and 19000 shots taken with no problems.

Its already pushed in, For me to get a hold of panasonic do i need to go to there website! Could any camera place fix it or just panasonic! And anyone know how much it might cost by chance?

Panasonic's contracted repair outlet is Bigstons. Here is the link http://www.bigston-services.com/

I had warranty repair done there for my fz5.
