Yesterday I posted a Pentax P&S shot of a blue heron. Today, I took my FZ20 on my break and came away with some much better photos. I wish the heron had been there, as it would have been best to compare photos of the same subject. Anyway, I took these during my 15 minute morning break.

As you can see, I was able to zoom in and crop pretty closely to the little guy above. He's only about 2 inches long.

This is a different frog, about the same size. This is a crop of a fairly small section of the frame. The thing about having 5MP is you've got lots of room for playing. I took this crop from a larger photo with more context. I just can't get over the clarity of such a small section of photo.

Last one. I rather like the way this water lily turned out. This is a crop, but I didn't take away an awful lot from the edges.

Looks like it is a good idea for you to remember your FZ20 when you go to work.

You know I have always felt that if you have a need to take a camera with you it should be one that will cover most situations....I just do not buy into the pocket camera thing.

My approach.....I have a D50 and a FZ20 and 30.....I could easily part with the FZ20 but never the FZ30.

Its not that the FZ20 is not a great camera .....but I may be starting a collection and the FZ40 may be on the horizon.
