Post Your BIF - In Your Face Style (Please)

I have been trying something the last couple of days and so far it has been a real challenge. I am trying to get birds in flight but I want them to be looking at me. If any of you have any please post them I need to get some ideas before I go back and try again. Here are some of mine the first time trying this idea. So far I have tried rubbing a rock against another rock, a rock against a tree, even tried tying a red and white bandanna in a limb and then move the limb & my trusty crow call. Make a noise and at the same time try to focus I hope only will require a lot of practice. Any ideas or suggestions will be appreciated.

Interesting idea. It looks like you're getting a good start.

I agree I think it is a good idea but I need some ideas on how to increase the number of keepers. I took over 400 photos to get 4 keepers of them looking at me and I want to increase that percentage. I did get some other keepers but they were not looking at me.

Any suggestions??????

An idea! When you are about trying to attract the birds (flying that is), how about notifying the forum so a local can capture you :-)...Fred

My mother was a photographer as well as a painter. She would photograph the animals and later use her photos to paint from. I think the best attention getter she usedwas a child's squeaky toy she always kept with herwhen out photographing. It works on humans as well as animals!
