On the way home I popped into Eppign Forest hoping to see some deer - no sign of deer, owls, the sly old fox but I did manage to get these:

Pic 1. Deep inside Epping Forest Pic 2. The Trees

Pic. 3 The lone tree Pic 4. Forest Warden

Pic. 5. Swan Lake... well not quiet as its Hyde Park Pic 6. Rainbow

If your interested in the rest of the days pics or want to check the larger sizes you can :

Beautiful Place & Photos. You should try to spend as much as you can there.

Great photos Harjtt. I love the nature scenes, landscapes and wildlife photos. Did you happen near Sherwood Forest, or is Robin still lurking there? :-) I had not heard of Epping Forest, but appears to be a very nice place. Thanks for sharing.

Nice shots HarjTT!

My favorite is the lonesome tree.

I am still searching for such on object to shoot it in all stages around the year.

Thanks for the comments guys. Its strange that the forest is just 5-10 mins away from home and this was the first time I had ventured deep into it. I'm hoping to locate the deer sanctory and some of those owl's that are up on the information boards but I'm not sure where to start. Any ideas guys ? I had thought they would be in the shade and deep in the forest but I didn't have any joy at all.

Cheers

So in other words you are like" A mosquito in a nudist colony, you know what you want to do, just don't know where to start." How well I know that feeling!

This has worked a couple of times for me. I head out to the woods in the evening and try to find the highest spot and sit by a tree. Just after the sun goes down I have heard them hoot and this now gives me an idea where to look for them the next day.

Good luck

P.S.
Don't forget to take a flashlight it gets dark after you have heard them and it is time to get out of the woods.
