Funny New Mexico Bear Hunt

I spotted a young bear working his way down the ridge on his way to the
river. I guessed he would go thru a couple of small meadows so I set up
on a little ridge overlooking one of the meadows. This is a young bear
and unlike a mature bear makes a lot of stops to check things out.

This is where I found him in the top right hand corner of the large
photo. The insert is a close up taken about 10 to 15 minutes after I spotted him.

THE TRIP FROM THE BEARS POINT OF VIEW

Looks like a good day for fishing I better get on down to the river.

I never noticed that tree at the edge of the meadow. I better check it out.

YUP!!! This is one nice tree.

Tree checking is exhausting I better take a power nap.

genece thanks for looking and commenting.

GENECE is the person I have to thank the most for all his help last August when I was trying to decide if I should buy a camera and if I was going to buy one what kind should I buy. He spent a lot of time answering a Old Newbies questions. After I bought the FZ 30 he once again came to my rescue with all kinds of help like how to use the camera and what extras I would need to get some decent photos.

It is folks like genece that quietly go about helping people that makes these forums so much fun.

Thanks again GENECE

Roger, this is a great series of the cub. You had said you were going to go back for more. JOB WELL DONE, my friend. I agree, in that I like the one one of the bear holding up the tree.

On another note, Gene has also been a great help to me, not only with the camera, but helping me with a download from Adobe, I learned a work around that helps. Also, another person that has been of invaluable help to a newbie I would like to add is fmoore.

Then there is Telecorder, yourself and others. Geez, isn't this a great forum. Yes, there are a few A**H*L*s, but they are everywhere I have ever been in life. Guess, they are trying to deal with their situations. As for me, I am grateful, but for the Grace of God, there go me.

Thanks for sharing your acheivements.

Jerry

That is absoutely delightful. Apart from the good photography, the comments have certainly helped make my day.

I can only agree with Jerry about the members of this forum. You couldn't list all the great helpful people you meet. Apart from some magnificent pictures posted by the regulars which we ordinary folk can ony envy, I feel that apart fom being a terrific forum, it is a meeting place for friends
