I promised some comparisons of the D50 and the FZ30 so here are a few....the 1st two sets are difficult conditions and I would have expected the D50 to do a little better than the FZ30 under those conditions..

Also let me say that none of the D50 shots were the best from the D50 they were picked to match the best photos photos from the FZ30at that particular time.

This moose this was the best of about 30 photos from the FZ30

Both of these needed shadows recovered which did not help either photo





And this is the closest match I have as far as size from the D50

And these were 2 more difficult shots this grizzly was a long way away. And to try and keep these equal I cropped them to an equal size.

IMHO the FZ30 did pretty good.

The FZ30 did very well there are many photos to come where its as good

as the D50 at least on the screen.........I wanted to cover the tough stuff first

The rest will just be nice photos. Heres one

I like the last one of the moose at the water by the FZ30 better than the one by the D50. Yet, there was one appeared better with the D50. Like The Hotel, seems the FZ30 holds its own in certain conditions, or maybe I am just prejudiced. :G
