Ok, my next attempt. with the set up.

FZ10+Raynox 250, ISO50, F8, 1/60s-1/160s, Ext flash (diffused)

#1: Green bug. Pity the dark BG. But I like the blue lines on the head.

#2: Green BG
Would have preferred #1 insect with #2 BG. Anyway, which do u prefer?

#3:Close up of hopper eyes

#4: Black beetle eyes

#5: Wolf spider (zoom out)
Would have prefered a lower angle to capture a face on view, but floor too dirty and too many crawlies to lie down

The question that I have is, when they are shot with flash support, then how do you think those insects gonna like that? They must be blind for a while?!

Thanks vaiboy!

Leberwurstsaft, so far I have not seen any insects react to my flash so far, and even after they fly off, they don't look disoriented or bump into things etc. Some have said that insects react more to movement, vibration and shadows.

I am beginning to believe that tchuanye might be Spider Man. Very nice work as always.

Lovely series again tchuanye!

As far as the first two pics, I love them both, I think the dark back round adds to the effect! Actually, after a second look I like the first one better.
